This Union shall strive to advance the interests of its members and protect the integrity of the craft jurisdiction of this Union through mutual cooperation, organizing the unorganized, collective bargaining, the promotion of legislation, opposition to privatization of the Postal Service, the provision of benefits such as sick, accident, and similar benefits to its members, and all other peaceful and lawful means whereby labor organizations seek to promote and advance a broad spectrum of economic and social objectives. This Union shall function in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and executive orders. This Union shall also function to advance the interests of the working class as a whole.
